Sustainability initiatives in Our Warehouse

We are busy making our warehouse more sustainable and would like to share the steps we have already taken to reduce our ecological footprint.

No More Printed Order Forms

One of the first changes we have implemented is digitalizing our order processing. We no longer print order slips, which results in significant paper savings. Customers now receive their receipts via email, which is not only more sustainable, but also more convenient for everyone.

LED-lighting

Our warehouse is now fully equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting. These lamps consume much less energy than traditional lighting and have a longer lifespan. This not only helps us to reduce our energy costs, but also contributes to a reduction of our CO2 emissions.

Glass containers for broken vases

To ensure that broken vases do not simply end up in the waste, we have installed glass bins in our warehouse. All broken glass is collected and taken to recycling centers where it is given a new life. In this way we reduce our waste and contribute to the circular economy.

Cardboard press

We have also installed a cardboard press in our warehouse. This machine compresses all used cardboard into compact bales, which are then recycled. This not only makes it easier to collect and dispose of cardboard, but also reduces the space required for waste storage.

Less Plastic

We do everything we can to reduce the use of plastic. We have taken steps to minimize the amount of plastic packaging we use and switch to more sustainable alternatives where possible. This is an important step in reducing our impact on the environment.

Waste Separated

Finally, we ensure that all waste in our warehouse is separated. We have separate bins for paper, plastic, glass and residual waste. By correctly separating waste, we make recycling a lot easier and more efficient.

With these measures we are taking important steps towards a more sustainable warehouse. We remain committed to improvement and continually look for new ways to reduce our environmental footprint. Together we work towards a greener future!
